Why do I need this?

There aren't any USB ports close to where Tesla drivers use their phones most, such as mounted on the center screen. You can't use your phone while it is wireless charging. It doesn't look nice to have cables sticking out of the center console.

Which port should I use?

The USB-C port nearest to the edge is the fastest charging port and is useful if you want to charge your phone while using it for maps. The additional ports allow you to charge other devices. Your passenger will appreciate being able to charge and use their phone at the same time.

Which Teslas does it work with?

Our USB hub works with the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, "refreshed" versions. For the Model 3, that's late 2020 through the end of 2023. For the Model Y, that's 2022 through to present. This is not designed to work with the new Highland or Juniper models.
